Children must graduate from high school… period. Graduation rates affect every aspect of our community from income levels to crime rates to healthy lifestyles, and our graduation rates are alarming at best, catastrophic at worst.
America’s Promise Alliance is supporting more than 100 state and local Dropout Prevention Summits across the country in the next two years and chose United Way of Greater Toledo as Toledo’s convener. This one-day summit will bring together every sector of the community: parents, students, educators, business leaders, law enforcement, the court system, nonprofits, and religious organizations to increase awareness, encourage collaboration, and facilitate action to improve graduation rates.
